Henry Ngo

Areas of Interest: Exoplanets, direct imaging, hot Jupiters, giant planet formation, planet migration
I am a Plaskett Postdoctoral fellow at the National Research Council of Canada’s Herzberg Astronomy and Astrophysics Research Center in Victoria, BC. I am interested in direct imaging of exoplanets and giant exoplanet formation and migration. I am leading an imaging search for giant planets around small M-stars with the vector vortex coronagraph at Keck Observatory on Maunakea.
I graduated with a PhD in Planetary Science from the California Institute of Technology in 2017. With my advisor, Heather Knutson, I led the imaging effort of the “Friends of hot Jupiters” campaign to search for stellar companions to hot Jupiters systems.
