Tony Willis is a Senior Research Council Officer in the Radio Astronomy group of NRC-Herzberg at the Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory (DRAO) in Penticton.

Tony is involved in various projects relating to the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) and SKA pathfinders such as the Australian ASKAP telescope. His work mostly involves the development of software related to aperture synthesis telescope data processing. He has more than 30 years experience in the use of such telescopes.

Tony received his Ph.D degree at the University of Illinois in 1972. He held positions at Leiden Observatory, Brandeis University, NRAO and the SRZM (now ASTRON) from 1972 to 1982. After an 8 year hiatus from radio astronomy he joined the staff of DRAO in 1989.
